Part One --
Planets and Aspects
Each of us has every planet in his or her chart. Each planet symbolizes a different
facet of life. In synastry, when we compare two charts, we look at the aspects
(distance in degrees) between the planets of one chart and the planets of the
other to determine areas of potential ease or difficulty. In general, sextiles
and trines are easy aspects; squares and oppositions are challenging or dynamic
aspects. Conjunctions can be either easy or difficult, depending on the planets
involved.
Below, a brief (necessarily incomplete) description of the areas of life ruled
by each of the planets: SUN: The life force, the ego center, who you are at
your core. MOON: Feelings, home, mother, family, sensitivity, nurturing, moods.
MERCURY: Communication, schooling, short trips, negotiations, the mind. VENUS:
Emotions, asthetic and artistic sense, what you have to offer a lover or partner
if you're a woman; what you want in a partner if you're a man. MARS: Aggression,
desires, competitiveness, ego drive, conflict, what you bring to a relationship
if you're a man; what you want if you're a woman. JUPITER: Expansion, generosity,
travel, optimism, knowledge, beliefs. SATURN: Restrictions, discipline, fear,
burdens, status, ambition, authority. URANUS: Innovativeness, quirkiness, rebelliousness.
NEPTUNE: Dreams, illusions, drugs, deception, spirituality. PLUTO: Death and
regeneration, elimination, tumultuous change, power.
Common Aspects
Moon trine Jupiter
Generally, a trine between these two planets indicates that you will have warm,
caring, generous feelings toward one another. You can make each other feel comfortable,
secure, understood and cared for. You'll feel better just being around one another.
This is a good aspect for those who share living quarters.
Mercury sextile Mercury
You tend to be on a similar mental wavelength, even if you don't necessarily
agree on all issues. You're probably able to cooperate easily on intellectual
and educational matters because of this mental rapport. Likewise, you tend to
be able to work out any problems that arise between you because of your ability
to communicate well with each other. This aspect is particularly favorable for
planning, negotiating and developing ideas together. While Mercury has nothing
much to do with physical or emotional attraction, it tends to smooth the way
to have such an aspect in your comparative chart, as clear communication is
so important in relationships of all kinds.
Mars sextile Mars
With this sextile between your charts, you'll have a very positive effect on
each other's energy level and ability to deal with challenges. You can cooperate
in activities of all kinds, but especially those requiring physical action.
You'll find it easy to support each other's actions, drive and desires. You
can -- and very likely will -- compete against each other in a friendly way.
But this tends to be positive, mutually enjoyable competition and you will probably
help each other improve skills as a result.
Midheaven opposite Midheaven
Each of you is likely to mirror the other's needs for security, status, domestic
comfort and emotional support. There is a slight potential for occasional clashes
between one's career needs and the other's domestic needs, but these tend to
be in line with typical, expected problems due to the sometimes incompatible
requirements of family and career. All in all, you're likely to be well-suited
to living with one another and can, if there are no significant influences that
contradict this, feel like each is the other's "better half. "
Tom Jones's Planets Aspecting Madonna's Planets
Sun square Moon
While this can be a problematic combination, it also seems to produce attraction,
as it is one of the more common aspects between couples. There may be clashes
between the Sun person's need to assert his or her ego and the Moon person's
emotional needs. There is also the potential for one of you to dominate and
overshadow the other; often, but not necessarily, the Sun person. However, when
the attraction is strong enough -- which it often is with this aspect -- people
usually learn to get past the potential for misunderstanding and grow as individuals
and as a couple through dealing with the challenges posed by this square.
Sun opposite Saturn
This is a potentially problematic combination as both of you may seek to be
the "boss" in this relationship. The Saturn person may attempt to restrict the
Sun person's freedom of movement and self expression, often because the Sun
person's actions can seem threatening to the Saturn person's security or because
he/she sees the Sun person's behavior as frivolous or self-serving. The Sun
person may also, at times wound the Saturn person's sense of self-worth and
dignity. The positive side of this opposition is a tendency to feel a strong
sense of responsibility toward one another , although there is the possibility
that one or both of you may occasionally resent your obligations to the other.
Sun sextile Uranus
You tend to bring out the adventurous side in each other. Because of this, you're
likely to take greater risks together than either of you might take alone. While
there are, of course, caveats to observe, the cooperation and support you offer
each other tends to help you get away with more of the gambles you take together
than you might otherwise. You may also be sexually adventurous together.
Moon opposite Saturn
This is a difficult comparative aspect that can severely limit emotional expression
between you . This aspect is often seen in relationships where the individuals
stay together because they feel a need for security, or feel a sense of duty
and loyalty, even though there may be great difficulty building emotional bridges
between each other. This opposition does not indicate that there is no feeling
for one another- there may, in fact, be great affection -- but that there are
obstacles or a hesitancy in the way of emotional exchanges. The right words
and gestures may not come easily, may be badly timed, or you may simply be unaware
of the need to express your feelings for one another and to reassure each other
in certain situations.
Moon trine Neptune
Because Neptune spends so much time in each sign, this trine is more significant
as an indicator of the Moon person's response to an entire generation than as
indication of one-to-one relationship traits. If the aspect is within a degree
or so of exact, there is the possibility of a strong intuitive link between
you, so that you may be able to sense each other's feelings - and even, under
some circumstances, thoughts. You are likely to be highly attuned to each other's
moods, needs and concerns and to have a strong sense of sympathy and empathy
for each other. You may bring out the latent urges in each other to nurture
and help others.
Moon sextile Pluto
Because Pluto spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few
years of each other will have Pluto in more or less the same position. This
sextile is therefore more significant as an indicator of the Moon person's response
to an entire generation than as a trait in a one-to-one relationship. If the
aspect is within a degree of exact, there is likely to be intense emotionalism
in the relationship that encourages each of you to probe more deeply into your
psyches. You can also help each other implement tremendous changes for the better
in your lives.
Mercury trine Neptune
Because Neptune spends so many years in each sign, this trine is more significant
as an indicator of the Mercury person's response to an entire generation than
as an indication of one-to-one relationship traits. If the aspect is within
a degree or so of exact, both you may share religious and/or spiritual views
. Occasionally, this trine indicates a psychic or intuitive link between partners,
but only if supported by other aspects.
Mercury sextile Pluto
Because Pluto spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few
years of each other will have Pluto in more or less the same position. This
sextile is therefore more significant as an indicator of the Mercury person's
response to an entire generation than as a trait in a one-to-one relationship.
If the aspect is within a degree of exact, you are likely to have compatible
views concerning psychology, social reform and other deep issues. You may enjoy
discussing weighty matters together and encourage each other to use communications
and ideas to make changes for the better.
Venus sextile Mars
This combination often produces both friendship and physical attraction.
Cooperation and harmony are likely between the dynamic Mars energy and the diplomatic
Venus energy. While not as fiery and intense as a Mars/Venus square, this aspect
is considerably easier to handle. It's a good indication that you can enjoy
each other in a variety of ways, without going totally bonkers over emotional
upsets -- or going through a full scale soap opera on the occasions when your
desires clash.
Jupiter opposite Neptune
Because Neptune spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few
years of each other will have Neptune in more or less the same position. This
opposition is therefore more significant as an indication of the Jupiter person's
response to an entire generation than as a trait in a one-to-one personal relationship.
If the aspect is within a degree or so of exact, it can indicate a generous,
tolerant and caring relationship with each of you intellectually willing to
accept the other (although, you may idealize each other to the point that what
you accept may not be quite what is there). You are not likely to be particularly
organized, efficient or productive with or around one another unless there are
other stronger aspects that contradict this one.
Jupiter trine Pluto
Because Pluto spends so many years in each sign, this trine is more significant
as an indicator of the Jupiter person's response to an entire generation than
as an indication of one-to-one relationship traits. If the aspect is within
a degree or so of exact, this can be a profoundly deep relationship that provides
you with considerable potentials for growth, both as individuals and as partners.
Saturn square Uranus
There is likely to be an occasional clash between you about the issues of responsibility
and personal freedom. Each of you is likely to bring out conflicting traits
in the other. The Saturn person may feel that the Uranus person is undisciplined,
unreliable and threatens his or her security; the Uranus person may feel tied
down, restricted and put upon by theSaturn person.
Saturn opposite Neptune
Because Neptune spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few
years of each other will have Neptune in more or less the same position. This
opposition is therefore more significant as an indication of the Saturn person's
response to an entire generation than as a trait in a one-to-one personal relationship.
If the aspect is within a degree or so of exact, it can show that each of your
approaches is out of sync with the other's. The Saturn person may see the Neptune
person as unrealistic and/or evasive; the Neptune person may view the Saturn
person as cold, unsympathetic or harsh.
Madonna's Planets Aspecting Tom Jones's Planets
Sun sextile Moon
Understanding, supportive relationships are typical with this aspect. The Sun
person can bolster the Moon person's moods when he or she is going through emotional
ups and downs, and the Moon person is likely to be caring and sensitive toward
the Sun person's ego needs and self-expressive urges. This aspect tends to smooth
the way in domestic relationships. While the Sun person is generally dominant
in relationships with this comparative aspect, he or she is unlikely to be domineering
unless this trait is indicated by other chart factors.
Sun square Uranus
Dynamic, stimulating, challenging and perhaps a bit unstable generally describe
relationships with this comparative aspect . You can incite each other to new
adventures, new risks and new activities; but you may also see each other as
competition -- and may go too far in your attempts to one-up one another. It
may be somewhat difficult to cooperate with one another as one or the other
may see it as a challenge to his or her freedom and autonomy.
Moon sextile Venus
This sextile is favorable for any kind of emotionally-based relationship and
often indicates a strong emotional rapport. People with this comparative aspect
between their charts tend to have great empathy for one another and are likely
to be particularly considerate of each other's feelings unless there are some
strong negative factors in the comparison that contradict this. You will tend
to support each other emotionally and help to bolster each other when one or
the other needs sympathy or reassurance. You're also likely to work hard together
to create a harmonious, comfortable and asthetically pleasing home.
Moon sextile Mars
The sextile of Moon and Mars is often an indication of sexual attraction, especially,
but not necessarily when the Moon person is female and the Mars person is male.
You tend to bring out strong feelings in one another, and generally speaking,
these passions will be pleasant, unless other chart indications negate this.
You are also likely to be quite protective of one another, the Moon person in
a nurturing or mothering way (regardless of sex) and the Mars person in a more
assertive fashion.
Moon trine Saturn
This is a good comparative aspect to have in any chart between two people who
hope for a long-term relationship as it shows emotional stability and security
in the pairing. This is likely to be a serious relationship where each of you
feels responsibility and loyalty toward the other. It tends to add practicality
to any relationship and makes it easier to accept the obligations of commitment.
Mercury trine Jupiter
This trine is usually an indication of intellectual rapport . It often indicates
a relationship where one - usually the Jupiter person - is the teacher or mentor
to the other. You're likely to make good traveling companions. You will probably
also enjoy conversing with each other more than you might with others. With
this aspect, it's best that you live in the same area code or you're likely
to run up huge phone bills without even noticing.
Mercury trine Saturn
This is an excellent comparative aspect for business relationships. It is equally
good for people working together in any capacity. The Mercury person can take
care of details and procedures; the Saturn person, the long-range planning.
Together, you can make a formidable team that combines discipline, quick-thinking,
good negotiating skills and planning capabilities.
Venus square Jupiter
You are likely to be quite generous and indulgent toward each other, but may
encourage each other to excess and extravagance. There is a slight potential
for over-emotionalism or for hypocrisy and pretense in the relationship. You
may bring each other luck, but you may also tend to waste opportunities or encourage
each other's laziness and procrastination.
Venus conjunct Pluto
Because Pluto spends many years in each sign, and all those born within a few
years of each other have this planet in more or less the same position, this
aspect is more significant as a generational than a personal relationship indicator.
If the conjunction is close (within a degree or two) it can indicate an intense
relationship with the potential for lots of passion, but also for jealousy,
power trips, scheming and secretiveness.
Venus opposite Ascendant
This operates more like a conjunction between the Venus person and the Ascendant
person's seventh house, the house of marriage, partnership and other serious
relationships. It is one of the better aspects for romantic, partnership and
marital harmony, as one partner's Venus, the planet which shows what a person
has to bring to a relationship, is in the other person's house of important
relationships. As a result, each of you is likely to be attuned to the other's
relationship needs. The Venus person is especially likely to go out of the way
to meet those needs, but both of you should show signs of this trait.
Mars conjunct Saturn
This is often a difficult combination that can generate considerable frustration.
The Mars person is likely to feel restricted, tied down and put upon by the
Saturn person. First the Saturn person insists that the Mars person says "may
I, " which the Mars person resents having to do -- and then the Saturn person
says, "no you may not, " which really grates on those already resentful nerves.
The Saturn person won't find this combination any bowl of cherries either. The
Saturn person is likely to feel irritated, and perhaps feel his or her security
is occasionally threatened by the Mars person's rashness and ill-considered
actions. There is, in a worst case scenario, some danger of cruelty toward one
another. But there is also a positive side to this conjunction that can manifest
itself when the two people involved are mature, considerate and serious-minded.
This aspect allows you to focus considerable energy on any problem you encounter
together, and to have the stamina, discipline and stick-to-it-tiveness to see
it through to a favorable conclusion. It really depends on whether the two of
you are grown-up enough to handle this combination.
Jupiter square Pluto
Because Pluto spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few
years of each other will have Pluto in more or less the same position. This
square is therefore more significant as an indicator of the Jupiter person's
response to an entire generation than as an indication of one-to-one relationship
traits. If the aspect is within a degree or so of exact, it may indicate struggles
between you for control of your joint resources. There may be clashes over differing
moral, ethical or philosophical perspectives.
Jupiter conjunct North Node
You are likely to provide each other with emotional support. The Jupiter person
can ease the North Node's person's journeys along difficult but necessary paths.
You are likely to feel emotional generosity as a result of your interaction
with each other, not only toward each other but toward others as well.
Saturn square Neptune
Because Neptune spends so many years in each sign, everyone born within a few
years of each other will have Neptune in more or less the same position. This
square is therefore more significant as an indicator of the Saturn person's
response to an entire generation than as an indication of one-to-one relationship
traits. If the aspect is within a degree or so of exact, there is likely to
be a clash between you on issues concerning the foundations of what each thinks
is valid and real. You may bring out each other's fears and pessimism. The Saturn
person may feel his or her sense of security and reality eroded by the Neptune
person; the Neptune person may feel depressed and restricted by what he/she
perceives as limiting factors imposed by the Saturn person or may feel rudely
awakened to harsh realities through the relationship.
Neptune square Pluto
This is a generational aspect, of little significance in personal relationships.
You may have conflicting attitudes regarding issues of personal power versus
selflessness and/or differences in your attitudes about social reforms, psychology,
metaphysics, ambition and drive. None of this is likely to have a particularly
profound impact on a personal relationship.
Part Two -- Planets in Houses
This section is concerned with where the planets of one partner fall in the
houses of the other, also known as comparative house placement. For instance,
if you have 12 degrees Cancer rising (also known as Cancer Ascendant or Cancer
on the first house cusp) and your partner has Moon in 15 degrees Cancer, your
partner's Moon falls in your first house. Your experience of your partner's
emotions, family and moods (Moon) will influence how you see yourself (Ascendant).
In comparative house placement analysis, the planets generally have a greater
impact on the houses than the houses do on the planets. In other words, where
your partner's planets fall in your houses is a better indication of how you
experience him or her than vice-versa. And where your planets fall in his or
her houses will tell more about how he or she experiences you.
Madonna's Planets in Tom Jones's Houses
HOUSE THREE
The third house is involved in communication, basic schooling and training,
siblings, neighborhood, community activities and extended family. When another
person's planets fall in your third house, the energies symbolized by those
planets will have an impact on the issues of the house. For instance, if a friend's
Venus (the planet of romance, relationship, emotion, art, luxury, among other
things) falls in your third house, your emotional response toward this person
might be in some way similar to what you would feel toward a sibling, or you
might communicate emotionally with one another.
Mars in House 3
The Mars person can stimulate the third house person's mental processes, but
also may make the third house person irritable, nervous or uncomfortable at
times. There is the potential for you to be less tactful than you should be
with each other and to speak before you think. This placement may occasionally
stimulate something resembling sibling rivalry between you. Frequent arguments
are likely if there are harsh major aspects between Mars and the third house
person's chart.
HOUSE SEVEN
The seventh, also known as the Descendant, is the house of marital and other
partners. It is exactly opposite the first house, which represents you. As the
old saying goes: opposites attract. The seventh is also the first of the houses
above the horizon in your chart, and is the beginning of that part of the chart
which represents your dealings with the public. When the planets of another
person are in this house, the energies of those planets will have an impact
on your seventh house issues. For instance, if someone's Moon is in your seventh,
that person's emotional make-up and nurturing instincts are likely to be in
sync with those you would want in a partner.
Sun in House 7
This is the classic yin/yang placement and is a strong indication of a serious
partnership, if other chart factors support this. The closer the Sun is to the
seventh house cusp, the more likely there will be a mutual attraction and interest.
The Sun person brings the seventh house person what he or she lacks and therefore
seeks in another . This placement can indicate equality in a relationship if
other factors do not contradict it.
Moon in House 7
This is one of the stronger indications of an emotionally based partnership.
The closer the Moon is to the seventh house cusp, the more intense the emotions
can be. Because you tend to have such a powerful effect on each other's feelings,
you may be able to relate to each other's moods and emotions almost as if they
were your own. This is a favorable placement for setting up housekeeping together.
Mercury in House 7
There is probably going to be a lot of thought and discussion about the relationship
itself with this comparative placement. There may be a tendency to continually
analyze the relationship, especially by the Mercury person. The Mercury person's
ideas are likely to influence how the seventh house person sees relationships
in general, and this relationship in particular.
Venus in House 7
This is a very favorable placement for romantic partnerships and is a strong
indication of serious attraction. Each of you probably fulfills the other's
needs on some deep emotional level -- more so the closer Venus is to the seventh
house cusp. The Venus person is likely to go out of his or her way to cater
to seventh house person's desires.
Uranus in House 7
Often found in exciting, electric, but less than stable relationships. Your
relationship is likely to involve some sort of untraditional or unusual circumstances.
This placement is typical in shotgun weddings and Mexican divorces. For the
relationship to work best, you must give each other plenty of freedom and accept
each other's quirks and differences.
Pluto in House 7
If Pluto is closely conjunct the seventh house cusp, this can be a deeply passionate,
intense and powerful relationship, but it may involve secrecy, jealousy, underhandedness
or manipulation. If Pluto is within a couple of degrees of the seventh house
cusp, and there are major hard aspects from Pluto to the seventh house person's
planets, there may be an element of obsession to the relationship.
HOUSE EIGHT
The eighth house deals with a host of intense and weighty issues: death, obsessions,
repression, jealousy, taxes, joint resources, inheritances and other people's
possessions. It also represents what you want or need sexually. When someone
else's planets fall in your eighth house, the energies of those planets will
have an impact on how you think, feel and act concerning eighth house issues.
If, for instance, your rich old Great-Uncle Harry's Jupiter falls in your eighth
house, he might bequeath you a generous inheritance in his will.
Jupiter in House 8
The Jupiter person is likely to have a positive effect on the resources available
to the eighth house person , unless major hard aspects from Jupiter to the eighth
house person's planets contradict this. You have a definite potential for attracting
material wealth through your partnership or marriage to each other. In sexual
relationships, this placement can either connote adventurous attitudes, which
can expand eroticism , or too much judgmentalism, which can dampen enjoyment
. There is a slight danger of being overly optimistic about joint investments
and finances in general, which can lead to financial trouble.
Neptune in House 8
This can indicate a deep relationship where you each have an intuitive understanding
of what the other is feeling, but it can also indicate mind games and psychological
confusion. There is a slight potential for financial loss through unwise or
unrealistic joint financial dealings or business ventures. Occasionally, this
can indicate a relationship that is caring and loving in many respects, but
non-sexual.
HOUSE TEN
Achievement, professional life, authority, status and ambition are all governed
by the tenth house, also known as the Midheaven. This is also the house that
represents your father, just as the fourth house represents your mother. (Please
note: in some families, where the mother was the dominant parent, or the father
was the greater nurturer of the two, the house rulership works better in reverse,
with the fourth representing the father; the tenth the mother. Usually, however,
the traditional rulership works best. ) When the planets of another person fall
in your tenth house, the energies of those planets will affect the way you respond
to tenth house issues. For instance, if someone's Mars, the planet of competitiveness
and aggression, falls here, you might find yourself in professional competition
with him or her.
Saturn in House 10
This is Saturn's natural house, and it is an excellent position if you two are
involved in any sort of professional activities together. You can aid each other
in your respective careers and help each other gain greater status. There is
a slight possibility of competition between you, but this may have a beneficial
effect if it causes you to work harder and achieve more. If Saturn makes harsh
major aspects to the tenth house person's planets, one of you may rise in his
or her profession at the expense of the other's ambitions.
Tom Jones's Planets in Madonna's Houses
HOUSE ONE
This is the house of self expression. The sign on the cusp of this house is
called your rising sign or Ascendant. It shows your self image, the face you
show the world and how others see you. The image you present can either be quite
close to or very different from the inner you, depending on whether your Ascendant
is in a sign that is similar or different in characteristics to the signs your
Sun and Moon are in. When the planets of your partner or another fall into this,
your most personal house, you will relate to the energies of that person, represented
by those planets, in a very personal and immediate way; there may be a kind
of instant recognition between you in these areas. For instance, if the Mercury
of another person (which rules communications, short trips, thoughts, worries,
and work, among other issues) falls into your first house, you may find that
you instantly recognize, and/or identify with, the ways that person communicates
or the ideas he or she has.
Neptune in House 1
It will be difficult for either of you -- particularly the first house person
-- to see clearly who the other is; more so the closer Neptune is to the first
house cusp. You will probably tend to have unrealistic expectations of one another
. The closer Neptune is to the first house cusp, the more of a drain the Neptune
person can be on the first house person's vitality, self-confidence and initiative.
However, the first house person may be so smitten by the Neptune person's charm
-- again, this is more likely if Neptune is closely conjunct the cusp -- that
he or she will put up with a great deal, just for the sake of basking in the
glow of this relationship.
HOUSE NINE
The ninth house is directly opposite the third in your chart and represents
a higher order of some of the issues governed by the third house. Foreign travel
or other long trips, higher learning, philosophy, culture, religion, law and
book publishing are all matters related to this house. When the planets of another
person fall into your ninth house, the energies of those planets can affect
how you respond to ninth house issues. For instance, if a friend's Uranus, the
planet of innovation and surprises, falls in your ninth, he or she might introduce
you to a new philosophical system or a new way of thinking about situations
or events; or he/she might be the perfect traveling companion for an adventurous
trip.
Jupiter in House 9
This is Jupiter's natural house and an excellent comparative placement for any
relationship. You are likely to be generous and helpful to one another and to
aid each other in achieving idealistic goals. Together, you can be more optimistic,
adventurous and confident than either is alone. You can also help each other
expand your cultural, scholarly and intellectual horizons. You should make good
traveling companions as well as being intellectually compatible.
Saturn in House 9
The Saturn person can help the ninth house person get serious about, and take
practical concrete action to achieve scholarly, cultural or idealistic goals.
There is a slight potential for incompatibility of beliefs, opinions or ideals;
or of rigidity in beliefs that can create a gulf between you. If there are major
harsh aspects from Saturn to the ninth house person's chart, the Saturn person
may intentionally or unintentionally limit the ninth house person's access to
education, cultural activities or travel.
Uranus in House 9
Often , this indicates an exciting, intellectually stimulating pairing that
can lead you into adventures and explorations you might not indulge in separately.
You can introduce each other to new ideas and beliefs, and different ways of
viewing the world.
Sun in House 10
This is a potent position for the Sun and may indicate that this is a relationship
with a highly developed sense of purpose or destiny. You are likely to feel
responsible toward, and loyal to each other. You may also be particularly careful
to behave in a principled manner toward each other. The Sun person can have
a powerful effect on tenth house person's status, profession and reputation,
more so the closer the Sun is to a conjunction with the tenth house cusp . There
is some potential for discord arising from a need to balance home and career
issues, but this will probably not be pronounced unless supported by other comparative
aspects. There is also the potential for competition between the two of you
in professional and business matters.
Moon in House 10
With this comparative placement, there is often a link between the Moon person's
emotions or family/domestic situation and the tenth house person's career, status
or profession. The Moon person can either provide the emotional support necessary
for the tenth house person to rise professionally, or else the Moon person's
moodiness and other emotional issues can challenge the tenth house person's
ability to advance.
Mercury in House 10
This placement tends to be favorable for business partnerships. The Mercury
person's words and ideas are likely to have an impact on the tenth house person's
career or status, and the tenth house person can help the Mercury person get
greater recognition for his or her ideas. If there are harsh aspects from Mercury
to the tenth house person's chart, there is a slight danger that the Mercury
person's words will have a negative effect on the tenth house person's ambitions,
or that the Mercury person will be overly critical of the tenth house person's
career, professional achievements or ambitions.
HOUSE ELEVEN
Friends, acquaintances, associates, associations, clubs, and virtually any other
group you feel a part of are all matters related to the eleventh house. This
is also the house governing your hopes, wishes and professional values (personal
values are matters of the second house). When someone else's planets fall here
in your chart, the energies of those planets will affect your reactions to eleventh
house issues. For instance, if a friend's Pluto, the planet of power, falls
in your eleventh, your association with that person can potentially bring you
greater power and control.
Venus in House 11
You will probably enjoy a feeling of close friendship, in addition to any other
relationship you have together. The Venus person can help the eleventh house
person's social standing, help him or her achieve aspirations and help him or
her advance through valuable associations. This comparative placement works
best if both partners are willing to give the other plently of freedom and elbow
room.
Mars in House 11
You are likely to identify with each other as both friends and competitors.
Each of you will probably need freedom to express himself or herself. But you
are also likely to desire a working relationship, as associates or as part of
a larger group to achieve your individual goals.
Pluto in House 11
The Pluto person can help the eleventh house person focus on achieving his or
her hopes and wishes, and may also have a transformative effect on those hopes.
Generally, this requires close aspects between Pluto and the eleventh house
person's personal planets in order for these potentials to be fully activated.
